\n24-hour charity cycling event in sports centre Millenium<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n
\nOn Friday and Saturday, 23rd<\/sup> and 24th<\/sup> January, sports centre Millenium hosted the already 10th <\/sup>traditional
\n24-hour
\ncycling event. Marko Baloh, one of the best ultra-cyclists in the world,
\nwas joined by more than 100 recreational and professional cyclists. The
\n10        th<\/sup> charity cycling event took place with the
\nsupport of BTC and in cooperation with sports centre Millenium. The
\nvisitors to sports centre
\nMillenium have collected more than 500 kg of food with an
\nextended expiration date in support of the charity organisation Anina
\nzvezdica.

\nContemplating the spirit of cycling, which graced sports centre
\nMillenium over the past
\nweekend, he stated: ?Personally, I really enjoyed seeing so many
\ncommitted cyclists pedalling for a good cause. It pleases me to see the
\ngrowing interest
\nin this event from year to year, and that the event hasn?t received
\npraise only from my fellow cyclists, some of whom have accompanied me
\nfor many years
\nnow, but also from the growing number of visitors, athletes and
\nother celebrities. This testifies to the positive impact of the
\ntraditional cycling event
\nand also proves that we can all cycle together on our various paths
\ntowards social change, and through sports activities give additional
\nhope that changes
\nmight be attained.?\n<\/p>\n
\nvisitors, who donated food and cheered for all the charitable cyclists.
\nAmong them were also
\nsome famous athletes: gymnasts Mitja Petkovšek, Sašo Bertoncelj, Rok
\nKlavora and \u017diga Šilc, cyclists of the womens professional cycling team
\nBTC City
\nLjubljana, judoist Andra\u017e Jereb, Samo Jeranko, President of the BTC
\nManagement Board, Jo\u017ee Mermal, CEO of DUOL company, Dušan Olaj, and
\nMarkos cycling
\ncolleagues from the Race across Slovenia ? Sandi Bayer, Matja\u017e
\nBajec, Stane Koderman and Irena Voglar.\n<\/p>\n
\nextended expiration date, which will be given to those in need under the
\nsponsorship of
\nthe humanitarian organisation Anina zvezdica. Ana Lukner<\/strong>,
\nrepresentative of the Centre for people in social distress, said: ?In
\nthe name
\nof all those people who need help, I would like to thank all the
\ncyclists and all those who donated food as part of this traditional
\ncharity event. The big
\nturnout shows great compassion for those in need and, sadly, it also
\nshows that the social distress of many people in Slovenia is still a
\nbig issue.?\n<\/p>\n
\nscope of its socially responsible activities also an active patron of
\ncycling in
\nSlovenia. Among other things, the BTC Company also supports the
\ndevelopment of sustainable urban mobility in Ljubljana and is an
\nimportant factor in
\nraising awareness on childrens safety in traffic. Last year, the BTC
\nCompany helped organize the 33rd<\/sup> Marathon Franja BTC City
\nand the UWCT
\nFinal 2014 Amateur Road World Championships. The company is also a
